Hi. I'm Bethany!

I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), but you might also call me a self-love advocate, empowerment enthusiast, and holistic wellness partner on your journey to better mental health. I provide creative and compassionate mental health counseling in a safe and supportive environment. I am the co-mama of HoneyB Wellness, a women owned and operated holistic wellness collective in Roland Park. You can find out more about our collective here

Let's talk about mental health.

Depression and anxiety really suck. Apart from your mood, it can mess with your sleep, your motivation level, ability to focus or concentrate, energy level, appetite, and relationships. Life transitions like adjusting to college, moving to a new city or going through a breakup can be really hard too and can cause symptoms similar to anxiety and depression.

From my work with so many amazing, courageous and resilient clients, I've learned a few things:

  • You might feel like your problems aren't that bad.
  • Maybe you're not sure you really need therapy, but someone in your life thinks you do.
  • You probably think you can go it alone.
  • You are probably way harder on yourself than anyone else is.

Many of my clients have done brilliant jobs at managing their symptoms for so long, but haven't figured out a way to kick them for good. If you've exhausted your resources and would like to consult with someone, I'm happy to be a resource for you.

I am passionate about helping my clients manage stress and anxiety symptoms, free themselves from depression and work through grief and trauma. I have found my calling helping my clients through whatever life throws at them. Through therapy, I can help you figure out how to flow through life with less resistance. Together we can work towards embracing change, identifying your strengths and resources, and working through any obstacles along the way.

Everyone struggles sometimes, and I understand how hard it can be to ask for help. I would love to be a resource for you on your journey to self-discovery and empowerment.

More about me

I'm passionate about helping my clients feel empowered, live courageously, and find joy and fulfillment in their lives.

Feeling stuck, empty, or like you've lost your vision? Going through a tough breakup or life transition? I understand how hard it can be to ask for help. I help individuals who long to feel accepted, supported, and capable and dream about a life unhindered by anxiety and depression.

My clients want to be able to enjoy the activities they used to, and wish they could get back to the way things were, but feel buried under life’s sometimes overwhelming pressures. Many of my clients wonder why they can't stop their repetitive thoughts, or feel stuck in the same patterns of relating to significant people in their lives.

I’ve found many clients feel suffocated by overwhelming stress and anxiety, but hold themselves back from making changes because they’re afraid to “fail” or fearful that things will never get back to the way they used to be. Many of my clients struggle with low self-esteem and sometimes need a little reminder of how amazing and resilient they are. I'm here for you!

I help guide and motivate my clients to develop self-compassion and coping skills throughout their journey so that they can lead a more fulfilling and joyful life. I help my clients find their inner compass and trust it enough to follow its direction.

I know from my own path to wellness and empowerment and my work with many girls, women, and individuals in the LGBTQ community that positive, long term change is possible for you.

I believe that if you listen to your inner compass, treat yourself and others with kindness and live courageously, you will change the world.
