Creative, passionate, and positive partner in your healing and fulfillment process.

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland, as well as a nationally board certified counselor (NCC). In my counseling practice I use an integrative and holistic approach to help my clients achieve wellness in mind, body, and spirit.

I hold a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked with families, groups, and individuals from age 4 to 65 with a wide variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, trichotillomania, skin excoriation (skin picking) disorder, adjustment disorders, bipolar, grief and substance use disorders.
Through my clinical and personal experiences, I've found that I'm most passionate about helping anyone identifying as female, or any individual who feels they could benefit from a feminist approach. I particularly enjoy serving the LGBTQ community, those with diverse spiritual and religious practices, and clients from a variety of cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. I strongly believe in honoring each individual's story and cultural perspective, while also helping each client create a life they want to live in.

My eclectic and integrative therapy style incorporates a blend of traditional talk therapy, play therapy, creative arts therapies, and some therapeutic movement such as yoga. I incorporate some spiritual practice in sessions, depending on each client's preference.

I guide and motivate my clients to develop self-compassion and calming/coping skills throughout their journey so that they can lead a more fulfilling and joyful life. I know from my own path to wellness and empowerment and my work with girls and women that positive, long term change is possible for you.

I'd love to hear your story. Schedule a free phone consultation with me today.

How we can work together:

I help clients who feel stuck use creative techniques such as art, collaging, writing and sandtray therapy to help them explore and understand their feelings in a different way.

Self-compassion can combat shame, guilt, and negative self-talk. Wouldn't you like to change those negative and doubtful thoughts, and turn them into loving and accepting ones?

Embracing Imperfection

“Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be and embrace who you are.” –Brené Brown

What ideas are you ready to release, and what truths are you ready to accept about yourself?

I believe humility and the ability to laugh (especially at ourselves) is an important part of feeling good. I believe that laughing can be healing in itself.

Optimism can be difficult to learn for people who tend to look at the glass “half empty.” I can help you challenge negative thoughts and self-doubt, and replace them with more realistic and accepting thoughts.

I'd love to hear from you
